The Žemaicai Diocese Museum is a branch of the Žemaicai Museum "Alka", established in the historical palace of the Žemaicai Priests' Seminary in Varniai.
It is a museum space, where sacred values of several centuries-old Žemaitija sanctuaries, art masterpieces, historical and archaeological artifacts dating back to the 15th-16th centuries are gathered. Through a multi-voiced, multi-layered narrative, the museum invites you to get to know the history of the diocese of Žemaicai, to experience the baroque spirit of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, to admire the panorama of Varnii from the tower and to view the authentic premises of the Žemaicai priests' seminary.
Educational programs invite visitors of all ages to attractively experience the sacred heritage of Žemaitija and travel back in time together with the museum.
