1921 The first Jewish orthodox girls' gymnasium in Lithuania was established in Telšiai. It was visited by 136 girls at that time. In Telšiai, special attention was paid to girls' learning and education. The language taught at the school was Hebrew. In addition to the state program, Torah science was taught. A metal relief created by Professor R. Inčirauskas is attached to the building of the former school, telling about the former school and its tragic fate for its 15-30 year old students and graduates. Tragic fate awaited some students - they were killed in Rainiai forest.
