Archaeological complex of Pabiržulis

Pabiržulis is a village in the south of the municipality of Telšiai district, 1 km east and southeast of Janapole, on the northeastern shore of Lake Biržulis (near the wetlands), in the Varniai regional park. The headwaters of the Virvytė river flow through the country. Alka Mountain.[2]

An archaeological reserve has been established, which protects a complex of stone age campsites (2,500-year-old settlements), Alkakalnis and Donkalnis (5520 BC, was a place of prayers and sacrifices). The hill of Şirme stands nearby.
