Age of participants: pre-school and primary school students.
In an authentic environment - in the homestead of a poor peasant, the participants of the activity get acquainted with the environment of that time, discuss the social situation of the shepherd, the shepherd's troubles: work, living conditions, clothing. Participants wear homemade canvas shirts, aprons, walk wearing clogs, carry buckets with their burdens, and try a whip. Scrap is created and baked "shepherd's kugelis" - potatoes. Old village games are played.
