Israeli Film Festival - "Israeli Cinema in Your City"

November 30 (Sunday) 1 p.m.   The Israeli film festival for film lovers - "Israeli Cinema in Your City" - is coming to an end.

For the finale, the audience will be treated to three internationally acclaimed short films – "An Average Story", "The Boy" and "Black Slide".

• "Black Slide" ("Black Slide", dir. Uri Lotan, 2021, 10 min). Shy teenager Evijus dreams of gaining courage. With his friend Tsufu, he decides to try a difficult black slide at a water park. When it seems that the descent is ready, Evijus learns that something much more serious than a black slide awaits him at home. 14 international awards and 8 nominations.

• "The Boy" (dir. Yahav Winner, 2023, 25 min). Father Avinoam and son Barak, living in a kibbutz bordering the Gaza Strip, face another rocket attack and each resists it in their own way. Until something more unites them than just fighting danger. 6 international awards and 5 nominations, all after director Winner's death on October 7 from a Hamas terrorist bullet.

• "An Average Story" (dir. Yaniv Segalovich, 2016, 17 min). Avi Cohen has just been informed that he is the most average person who has ever lived. Overnight, he becomes a national icon and celebrity, his every move followed by all of Israel. With his wife's enthusiastic encouragement, he turns an annoying situation into a business plan that unexpectedly falls apart. 2 international awards and one nomination.
