Crafts and Culinary Heritage Festival "Samogitian Life"

Samogitian Village Museum on May 21. from 1 p.m. The festival of crafts and culinary heritage "Žemaitiu gīvastis" is organized by the Samogitian Museum "Alka". We look forward to seeing you all day

Active activities will change each other - you will learn how to turn a cast, what is born of wood, what works are made of brass and you will even have the opportunity to see an authentic hill or learn the secrets of bathing traditions. In addition to traditional craft courtyards and educational activities, we kindly invite you to participate in two seminars, which will be led by professional lecturers, cultivators of ethnic culture and experts!

1:30 p.m. The Samogitian Language Nominee, Master of Philology, Literary Scientist, Editor of the Skuodas District Newspaper “Our Word”, a member of the Lithuanian Writers' Union, the Samogitian Cultural Society, and the Skuodas Literary Club will lead the seminar “Samogitian Language” DJIA ZABITIENĖ, President of Nojus, an activist of the Skuodas Samogitian Society, a nurturer of ethnic culture and a propagandist of the Samogitian language.

3:30 p.m. The seminar “National Costume” will be led by the head of the Natural and Cultural Heritage Department of the Samogitian National Park at the entrances to the homestead of a small-scale farmer (if it rains - we will move to the new one). specialist, ethnographer, creator of Plateliai Museum, special personality, nurturer of Samogitian culture and expert in national costume ALDONA KUPRELYTĖ.
